Any little bit of exercise you can get through out the day will help. Even if you do your exercises in 10 minute increments that is fine. It all adds up and will make you look and feel better about yourself. And how you feel is the most important. Do not let the scale tell you how to feel. The scale is only a number. It should not be able to let you feel good or bad.
